Sonya Weisshappel, President of Seriatim (www.seriatim.net)

Sonya came into the Red Pill Parents fold long before the RPPs were parents, meeting Red Pill Papa in eighth grade.  Realizing that the core of Sonya’s business provides a unique window through which to view our parenting styles, she was immediately asked to contribute and enthusiastically agreed.  We look forward to sharing Sonya’s unique wisdom with you about how our household and life organization — or lack thereof — affects our children.  Here’s more about Sonya:

With eight moves before the age of 13, the death of a parent as a teen, struggles with learning disabilities and the experience of raising children and stepchildren, Sonya Weisshappel has developed a sensitivity for life’s many transitions. She has used her own experiences to hone her crisis management skills and help others in times of need.

Over 10 years ago, Sonya founded Seriatim, a New York City-based organizing firm that facilitates seamless transitions for businesses as well as individuals who are on the move, in the midst of life transitions or simply stuck behind a life of “stuff” and ready for a change. Seriatim, which is Latin for “in a series,” has allowed Sonya to translate her passion for managing time, goals and “stuff” into a business that frees people of their physical and emotional clutter.  Sonya funnels her deep empathy and compassion through every job, leaving clients feeling harmonized and free of clutter.

Sonya is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, the Tri-State Relocation Society and the National Association of Women Business Owners.  She sits on the board of ESCOTA and TRS and is a member of Rotary.   She speaks regularly to organizations on topics ranging from helping learning-disabled children get organized to preparing for the death of a loved one.
